The room had a lovely old world feel with dark wooden floors and original oil paintings. Beds comfy. The staff really went out of their way to help. Breakfast good and excellent service from staff. the staff made this an outstanding place to stay. The location was great - walking distance to attractions and short taxi rides to temples and the palace. The hotel is beautifully designed and filled with antiques. Hot tub on the roof and DVDs for rent. Only a handful of rooms and guests meaning staff knew us all and cleaned our room multiple times per day.
The road in front of the hotel is loud and could be heard from the room. The shower water pressure wasn't great.

Spent a memorable New Year's here! Loved the charming boutique hotel atmosphere with unique decor and personalized attention. the lobby, guest rooms and rooftop garden area were beautifully cultivated and presented creatively. the elevator was smoothly quiet and comfortable. the mini gourmet buffet for breakfast was delicious featuring smoked salmon, pastries and fresh juices. the homemade map with recommended walking distance cafes & restaurants was super helpful. the hotel is safe and the staff are kind and attentive.
Only be mindful as the hotel is not in the tourist areas therefore alternate transportation should be arranged ahead of time.

The hotel had a unique design with interesting history hidden in the decor. Location was great, with temples and museums nearby. The rooftop garden was a great place to relax with a book. Staff was attentive and accommodating.
The busy road outside made some noise, but earplugs were provided. The hotel was not very convenient for business travelers heading to newer parts of the city.
Tourists from South Africa often stay at these properties. Ideas for your future trips.
